The one with a touch of guilt…

I’m a bit of a hypocrite.

I’m putting the finishing touches on a presentation I’m giving tomorrow and much of the sound advice I plan on giving to the audience are things I have been unable to do myself in the past couple of months.

The presentation is about social media marketing and is for those attending the WBFF seminar in Halifax tomorrow afternoon. I’m very excited about having the opportunity to share some of my promotions and public relations expertise with an audience but as I was writing down tidbits of wisdom I thought ‘wow, I suck’.

A large component of what I will be talking about has to do with consistently and effectively utilizing social networking platforms to deliver your message. How can I talk about consistency when I’ve basically abandoned poor Fatty?

I taught myself a lesson through this exercise that I need to be more consistent in my posting. It’s time to make a plan, write it down and stick to it. Whether it’s posting one a week like I was back when the blog first launched, or posting once a month like I was a year ago, anything would be better than how I have been using it now.

I’ve got things coming in the mail to start another series of product reviews and I’m hoping to get a couple features up now that we’re coming into competition season. It’s time to start taking my own advice and get back in the saddle.
